Purpose of the role
This role supports our operations through strategic planning and coordination.
The team is responsible for ensuring readiness and response to emergencies and disasters.
You will be a key member of the team providing support for operational planning, exercising and policy development.
You will also provide high-level administration and management support to the team.
Key requirements
Mandatory requirements
We require individuals with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of AIIMS and QFES operational concepts is highly desirable.
Experience working in an operational coordination centre is also preferred.
Special requirements
This role requires flexibility and adaptability.
Hours of duty are pursuant to the Queensland Public Service Officers and Other Employees Award - State 2015.
This role is a designated SES uniformed position.
You will participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster during emergency operations.
Your part in the ongoing success of our department
You will be responsible for a variety of work including:
Providing administrative and project support
Liaising with staff and volunteers
Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Supporting operational duties during emergencies and disasters
