The opportunity We’re looking for an Audit Manager to join our Assurance Division at our Sydney Barangaroo office. With over 60 people in Audit & Assurance, HLB offers genuine career progression, exposure to diverse work, and the opportunity to make a real impact. With continued growth and an expanding range of assurance services, this role is ideal for an experienced Manager who enjoys leading quality engagements within a collaborative, high performing team. You’ll work with a diverse client portfolio across a range of industries, including exposure to climate‑related financial disclosures and other emerging assurance areas. As an Audit Manager, you will: Deliver assurance engagements across a diverse client portfolio Project manage engagements from planning through to completion Apply strong risk and commercial awareness, resilience and professional judgement Manage engagement economics, including budgets, resourcing and client relationships Lead, coach and develop junior staff to improve capability and productivity Research and application of financial reporting and assurance knowledge to address complex financial reporting and audit matters. Embrace technology and innovation to enhance service delivery Partner with senior leaders to identify and grow commercial opportunities About you You’re someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, professional environment and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes. You’ll bring: Experience in a similar role, ideally within a Big 4 or mid‑tier firm Minimum 6 years’ experience in audit/assurance environment Demonstrated experience in completing financial statement audit engagements from planning through to completion.
