About the Organisation: This organisation is an Aboriginal-led not-for-profit dedicated to strengthening families and communities by providing culturally responsive programs and support for children, young people, and carer families. With a strong focus on permanency and wellbeing, its services span family support, targeted assistance, leadership development, and advocacy. It also operates programs that foster education, culture, healthy lifestyles, arts, and creative expression—enabling young people to grow in environments where their identity and heritage are honoured and sustained. About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to oversee the Permanency Support Program (PSP) case management division. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic direction, ensure services are delivered to the highest standard, and lead a committed team to achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and families. You will set clear goals, monitor performance, and report on outcomes, ensuring alignment with organisational values and the broader community’s expectations. This role is both operational and strategic, requiring you to guide program planning, oversee policy and procedure development, and ensure compliance with all legal and accreditation requirements. You will also play a hands-on role in supporting, mentoring, and motivating staff—building capacity, fostering professional growth, and ensuring best practice approaches are embedded across the program. Financial and business management will form a key part of your responsibilities, including overseeing budgets, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with funding and reporting requirements. You will also work closely with external stakeholders and funding bodies to build strong partnerships, identify opportunities for program improvement, and secure resources that support the ongoing growth and sustainability of PSP services. Beyond day-to-day management, this role offers the opportunity to influence and advocate at a sector-wide level. You will collaborate with government, community organisations, and other PSP providers to contribute to policy development and enhance outcomes for Aboriginal children, young people, and families. This is a chance to not only lead a high-performing program but also play a vital role in shaping the future of child and family services across the community. About You: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or a related discipline, with additional management training highly regarded. Proven leadership experience, including staff supervision, budget oversight, and service delivery management. Significant post-qualification practice experience in child, family, or community services, ideally within PSP. Demonstrated expertise in service evaluation, program development, and successful funding/submission writing. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience liaising at senior levels across government, community partners, and other agencies. Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and management documents. High level of digital literacy, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet navigation, combined with a collaborative, culturally respectful approach to working with diverse communities.
