About the role
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Officer (Mechanical) to join our team at our Bowmans group. In this hands on role, you'll carry out mechanical servicing, repairs, and upgrades across a variety of fixed and mobile plant.
As a key member of the Maintenance and Engineering team, you'll be responsible for day to day mechanical tasks that keep our equipment operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. You'll also contribute to safe work practices and support coordination of tasks across different trades when required. Your mechanical knowledge and ability to respond quickly to breakdowns will play an important part in maintaining plant availability and ensuring smooth operations.

Duties
* Responsible for fault finding and repairs to mechanical, hydraulic, diesel and pneumatic systems.
* Complete all maintenance within the manufacturers, suppliers or contractors recommended time frames
* Support the mentoring, development and progress of Apprentices where applicable
* Participate in root cause analysis and failure trend monitoring
* Ensure accurate and timely CMMS record keeping and reporting
* Support food safety, workplace safety, and quality compliance requirements
* Assist in identifying, planning and executing projects to improve site safety, efficiency and reliability
About you
* Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Diesel or similar field
* Demonstrated experience in a maintenance role
* Sound knowledge of maintenance systems and spare parts management
* Experience working in grain handling or bulk commodities (desirable)
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
* Current unrestricted C class driver's licence
* Strong safety, food safety and quality focus
