Statewide Psychology Clinical Education and Training Program Manager
Location: Negotiable within eligible Queensland HHS
Remuneration: $161,540 - $167,217 per annum
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Statewide Psychology Clinical Education and Training Program Manager to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13,000-strong team is on providing world‑class healthcare to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
Please note: The Statewide Psychology Clinical Education and Training Program Manager position may be located in any Hospital and Health Service dependent upon the outcome of the statewide recruitment and the specific Health Service's capacity to host the position.
- Provide expert level strategic planning and professional leadership in the identification, design, development, implementation and review of statewide clinical education and training initiatives
- Lead statewide development of education and training initiatives within psychology
- Provide leadership in the strategic direction, retention and growth of psychology clinical educators
- Build and actively participate in complex professional teams of both internal and external stakeholders within a national and state workplace
- Identify, facilitate and lead opportunities for inter‑professional clinical education and training in collaboration with the Statewide Program Network
Qualifications
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Psychology
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated again or remain vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
The position is responsible for professional and interprofessional collaboration with key internal stakeholders, including statewide professional networks to enable performance of role accountabilities. The incumbent will work within the budget allocation for clinical education and training for psychology and any interprofessional strategies as required and provide advice on ongoing funding needs within the annual budgeting process.
The position has line management responsibility for the Statewide Psychology Workforce Development Officer and consultative responsibility for staff funded through the Clinical Education Workload Management Initiative resourced through the Health Practitioners (Queensland Health) Certified Agreement.
