They make data accessible so that it can be used for optimisation, delivery of services and enhanced analytics solutions.Key duties and responsibilitiesDemonstrated technical experience with big data technologies to deliver high speed search capabilities across large data assets.Highly developed technical skills across the build and optimisation of big data cyber security platforms covering the entire stack (hardware, Linux OS and applications).Experience designing, building, and supporting data lake technologies ensuring role-based access controls are enforced and audit is captured.High level of proficiency with design and build of observable data ingestion pipelines including serialisation, transformation, enrichment and store.High attention to detail, documentation skills and good client communication skills.Able to manage multiple, concurrent tasks with competing demand.CriteriaThe buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion. Manages the investigation of enterprise data requirements based upon a detailed understanding of information requirements. Coordinates the application of analysis, design and modelling techniques to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components. Manages the iteration, review and maintenance of data requirements and data models.QUAS 5 - Plans, organises and conducts formal reviews and assessments of complex domains areas, cross-functional areas, and across the supply chain. Evaluates, appraises and identifies non-compliances with organisational standards and determines the underlying reasons for non-compliance. Prepares and reports on assessment findings and associated risks. Ensures that appropriate owners for corrective actions are identified. Identifies opportunities to improve organisational control mechanisms. Oversees the assurance activities of others, providing advice and expertise to support assurance activity.STMG 6 - Develops standards and guidelines for implementing data protection and disaster recovery functionality for all business applications and business data.
