About Your Role The Mental Health Emergency Consultation and Support (MHECS) Clinician is part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for coordinating and delivering emergency mental health assessments and support services during acute crises across MLHD hospitals. The role involves developing care plans in collaboration with on-call psychiatrists and supporting emergency department clinicians.
The role also includes duties as a Police Ambulance Clinician Early Response (PACER) Clinician, conducting emergency assessments in community settings with police and ambulance services, both in person and virtually.
The ideal candidate is an experienced mental health clinician with advanced reasoning skills, capable of autonomous work, providing clinical leadership, and acting as a professional role model within a multidisciplinary team.
