Longreach Tourist Park is a key accommodation provider within Longreach, the home of Qantas Founder's Museum, Stockman's Hall of Fame, Outback Pioneers and Outback Aussie Tours, The Spirit of the Outback, Longreach Powerhouse and Historical Museum and the natural attractions of the Thomson River, Lochern National Park and Iningai Nature Reserve. Longreach Tourist Park is a true outback experience, full of colourful characters promoting Longreach and the Queensland Outback. Longreach Tourist Park is located less than 2km from the centre of town and Longreach Historical Railway Station.
This role will include grounds & maintenance duties, as well as the cleaning of amenities, and common areas.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting into the Park Manager, you must be able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
You must enjoy working around people and be able to communicate easily and confidently. You will take pride in your appearance, be self-motivated, have an eye for detail, a passion for maintenance, grounds and housekeeping and also have a willingness to learn and apply learnt knowledge.
The position will provide you with variety and a rewarding role.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have previous experience; however, this is not essential as training will be provided to the right person.
The successful applicant will require a Drivers Licence.
You will be competent in the use of items such as:
* Ride on mowers.
* Hedge trimmers.
* Whipper snippers
* Chainsaws
* High powered hand tools.
* Assist with other minor maintenance items across our park and accommodation on direction from our Park Manager.
* Previous amenities cleaning experience (preferred however training will be provided to the right person.
* Attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness
* The ability to work unsupervised, and as part of a team
* Excellent personal presentation with a friendly disposition
* A willingness to carry out various tasks as required
* Available to be rostered over a 7-day rotating roster including weekends (days/times will vary each week)
* Be available for an immediate start
