Thirsty Camel Balcatta is a busy, community‑focused bottleshop.
We need a manager who is confident running the show — from stock and staff to financial performance.
This is a practical, on‑the‑floor role for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves while still keeping an eye on the numbers.
What You'll Be Doing Lead the Store Oversee daily operations, opening/closing, cash handling and banking
Keep the store clean, organised, and well‑presented
Manage staff rosters, performance, training and team culture Drive Sales & Profit Review weekly sales, category performance and GP reports
Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve margins
Manage stock carefully to reduce wastage and shrinkage
Implement promotions, highlight high‑margin items and maintain strong merchandising standards Manage Stock Like a Pro Order stock based on sales trends and upcoming promotions
Receive deliveries accurately and manage supplier relationships
Run weekly and monthly stocktakes using H&L
Track variances and investigate issues as soon as they appear Deliver Great Customer Service Lead by example with exceptional service and product knowledge
Handle customer issues and complaints calmly and professionally
Ensure every customer has a positive experience Stay On Top of Compliance Ensure full compliance with WA liquor licensing laws
Maintain RSA standards at all times
Keep all required registers up to date and accurate About You Hard‑working, reliable and takes ownership Strong with numbers — confident reading sales reports & GP data Sharp with stock management and ordering A natural leader who enjoys coaching and supporting a team Hands‑on and happy to get involved in day‑to‑day operations Results‑driven — always looking to improve sales and profitability Experienced in liquor retail or hospitality (preferred) What You'll Need RSA Certificate (required)
Approved Manager Card or willingness to get one
