**In this role you will provide learning support to the Academy's operational training teams in the delivery of Corrective Services training and development programs, leading and managing the governance, registration and operations of the RTO and ensuring that all legislative, Vocational and Educational Training (VET) standards and compliance requirements are met and exceeded. In addition, the Manager, Curriculum Governance is responsible for oversighting the ongoing development and performance of the QCS Learning Management System (LMS).
The primary accountabilities of the Manager, Curriculum Governance include:
* Evaluate and ensure all functions of the QCS RTO comply with relevant legislation including, but not limited to, current Vocational Education and Training Act and Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO's)
* Design, develop, implement, manage and review an internal quality assurance process which demonstrates RTO compliance against the current Standards for RTOs.
* Maintain academic standards through implementation and management of quality assurance, course progress, assessment, moderation and other policies and procedures.
* Manage Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS) compliant reporting systems.
* Undertake high level industry engagement that demonstrates best practice in maintaining compliant, current, reliable and valid training and assessment materials.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to delivery portfolios concerning scoping, and the development of transition plans where qualifications are superseded or replaced.
* Build and sustain a network of relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including VET regulators, relevant state and federal governing bodies and stakeholders regarding RTO registration, scope of delivery and other related issues and functions.
* Establish and implement a process to review the relevance and currency of online modules on the QCS Learning Management System.
* Manage the development and maintenance of the QCS Learning Management System (LMS).
* Provide high level assistance in the recording of training outcomes into the LMS.
* Design and produce quality reports on learning outcomes, including QCS Staff mandatory training using LMS statistical data as required to senior management.
* Collaborate with the respective business areas regarding the development of training and professional development e-learning training content and modules.
* Contribute to the assessment and quality of proposed external training providers and courses.
* Supervise, motivate and appraise the RTO and LMS staff members in the performance of their duties.
* Manage workload and practices of staff.
* Participate in the formulation and achievement of objectives, strategies and priorities that support the effective functioning of the Academy.
* Other duties as required in accordance with strategic objectives, business plans, local workload priorities and performance management plans.
