This Brisbane-based position provides essential mechanical and integrity engineering support across gas processing, water treatment, and wellsite facilities. The role focuses on short-term operational priorities, aiming to minimize downtime, enhance asset reliability, and uphold safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities include:
* Deliver practical, timely mechanical and integrity solutions for upstream surface facilities
* Conduct inspections, fitness-for-service assessments, and root cause analyses
* Resolve operational issues and implement strategies to improve performance and reduce downtime
* Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior engineers
* Support HSE reviews, asset risk assessments, and incident investigations
* Represent Operations Engineering in design and project reviews
* Collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Integrity teams

Essential qualifications and experience include:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or related engineering discipline
* Significant experience in mechanical or integrity engineering, ideally in energy or infrastructure sectors
* RPEQ registration (or eligibility)
* Proficiency in pressure systems, piping, welding, NDT techniques, and integrity standards
* Experience with equipment failure investigations, inspection management, and plant reliability
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
* Prior experience in upstream gas or CSG projects
* Familiarity with SCADA, CMMS, and condition monitoring tools
* Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers
