**We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Expeditor & Logistics Coordinator for an immediate start.** 
**As an Expeditor & Logistics Coordinator, the main responsibility will be expediting and coordinating the productive and timely movement of materials and equipment.** 
**More specifically, you will contribute to, and be responsible for**: 
- Expediting orders including communicating with suppliers, vendors and contractors regarding the status of materials. 
- Liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders to accommodate changes to production plans. 
- Problem-solving to reduce the impact of late shipments and notify internal stakeholders in a timely manner if a critical delivery is going to be late 
- Facilitating the flow of materials to and from various work sites or departments 
- Maintaining good relationships with suppliers, vendors and contractors 
- Coordinating the delivery of materials according to priorities and specifications Maintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are en-route 
- Providing logistics support and coordination for deliveries en-route 
- Receiving shipments of materials, and examining deliveries to ensure accurate quantities, quality, and specifications 
- Ensuring interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of productive operations 
- Some hands-on manual work (lifting, inspecting, and packaging) will be involved 
- Ad-hoc deliveries and pickups as required 
- Keeping accurate records 
**Key skills, attributes and experience;** 
- Current Australian Drivers Licence 
- Tertiary qualification or industry experience in procurement or logistics an advantage 
- Prior experience in similar role, ideally within the structural steel industry 
- Proven experience managing multiple stakeholder demands, priorities and deadline 
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings (highly advantageous) 
- Must be well-organised, have great time management and able to multitask 
- Ability to prioritise and action items with a sense of urgency 
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
- Ability to problem solve
