Senior Business Development Manager – Industrial Batteries (C&I;)
Our client is a new entrant to the Australian market, providing advanced industrial battery solutions that support commercial and industrial customers in their transition to cleaner, more reliable, and cost-effective energy. The business is looking to expand its footprint across the C&I; sector in Australia.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development and manage the full sales cycle for industrial battery solutions within the C&I; market.
- Identify, target, and engage key decision-makers across commercial and industrial customers, EPCs, consultants, and developers.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and industry engagement.
- Develop tailored proposals and present technical and commercial solutions to customers.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal technical, product, and operations teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions to clients.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in the energy storage sector.
About You / Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years’ sales experience in the energy, power, or industrial sectors, with a proven track record of selling industrial batteries, UPS systems, or energy storage solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian C&I; energy market, with established networks across relevant stakeholders.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand technical products and communicate solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, drive outcomes, and manage multiple opportunities.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred, not essential).
