A well-regarded Illawarra-based contractor delivering mechanical, electrical and fabrication services across mining, steelmaking, food processing and industrial sectors. The business provides workshop fabrication, site installations, shutdown support and labour hire to a wide range of clients in heavy and complex environments.
Responsibilities
Fabrication, welding and assembly of steel structures, conveyors, chutes, platforms and plant equipment.
Site installation, repair and modification of heavy industrial assets in mining, steelworks and processing facilities.
Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on structural and mechanical components.
Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, schematics and P&IDs; collaborating with fitters, electricians and riggers on projects.
Ensuring compliance with WHS standards, JSA/SWMS and client site safety procedures.
Your Profile
Trade qualified Boilermaker / Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent).
Strong MIG, TIG and stick welding skills with proven heavy fabrication experience.
Background in mining, steel, or large-scale industrial environments.
White Card and ability to obtain high-risk licences (EWP, confined space, working at heights).
Ability to read and work from detailed fabrication and structural drawings.
DESIRABLE:
Shutdown/turnaround experience within heavy industry or mining.
Stainless steel/food-grade fabrication experience.
Rigging or welding tickets (AS/NZS 1554) and additional site inductions.
