We are currently seeking a Rostering Officer to join our operations team and play a critical role in ensuring the right staff are in the right place at the right time to support our participants.
About the Role
The Rostering Officer is responsible for the planning and coordination of staff rosters across our services. Working closely with the Operations Manager, Operations Coordinator and Team Leaders, you will ensure that rosters are accurate, compliant, and responsive to both staff availability and participant support needs. This role is central to the smooth operation of Devonfield's services and requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly in a fast-moving environment.
Work Schedule
This role operates on an alternating shift roster. Participation in an on-call roster and occasional additional hours may be required.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and maintaining accurate workforce rosters
* Publishing fortnightly rosters using internal rostering systems
* Filling shifts at short notice due to unplanned leave
* Supporting Team Leaders with roster coverage and workforce coordination
* Ensuring staff allocations meet participant support requirements
* Monitoring roster compliance with contracted hours, funding and employment conditions
* Identifying staff availability, capability and suitability for shifts
* Maintaining positive working relationships with support workers to support engagement and retention
* Participating in the organisation's on-call system as rostered
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment. You will bring:
* Experience in workforce rostering or scheduling
* Experience using MYP rostering system or similar workforce software
* Knowledge of the SCHADS Award or similar industrial frameworks
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* The ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure
* Excellent organisation and administrative capability
* A positive and collaborative approach to teamwork
Mandatory Requirements
* Current driver's licence
* Working with Vulnerable People Registration with NDIS endorsement
* Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements
