This is a role for someone who understands the real-world mechanics of return to work: functional restrictions, capacity building, suitable duties, workplace demands, and sustainable recovery and who enjoys coaching others to deliver the same high standard. You’ll lead a specialist Same Employer team supporting injured workers into safe, meaningful new employment through evidence-based rehabilitation planning and strong stakeholder partnership. You’ll set the pace for quality and consistency, guide the team through complex barriers to return to work, and ensure every plan is grounded in function, feasibility, and long-term success. This role also offers genuine scope to make your mark. You’ll have the autonomy to shape workflow, refine service delivery, and contribute to continuous improvement across the Same Employer space, while working closely with a supportive leadership group and a multidisciplinary team of allied health clinicians. What you will be doing: Lead, mentor and support a team of 8 Rehabilitation Consultants (direct reports) delivering high-quality services with a strong physical rehabilitation and return-to-function focus Provide oversight and guidance across complex cases, including functional capacity planning, graded RTW programs, suitable duties guidance, and evidence-based rehabilitation strategies Manage and monitor team performance, KPIs and quality standards, ensuring timely, practical, and outcomes-driven service delivery Support your team to identify physical/functional RTW barriers and develop tailored rehabilitation plans that align with medical restrictions, job demands and workplace realities Collaborate with key stakeholders including insurers, employers, treating practitioners and internal leaders to drive sustainable RTW outcomes Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, team training and service development, helping strengthen best-practice delivery across physical rehabilitation and workplace reconditioning Coach consultants through complex problem-solving and case strategy, with a focus on safe, durable RTW and improved functional independence This role is ideal for a senior consultant who enjoys coaching others, solving complex RTW challenges, and making a genuine impact on both team performance and client outcomes through practical, function-based rehabilitation What's on Offer: Salary of up to $120,000 super bonuses (OTE $135,000) Competitive monthly annual bonuses, plus a sign-on bonus Ongoing paid professional development and structured career growth support Access to pool cars for work-related travel Flexible working, including WFH options Collaborative team with continuous clinical support and mentoring Work with a holistic, client-centred organisation delivering physical rehab outcomes Opportunity to help shape new products and services as the business grows Personalised career development plans tailored to your goals Join a supportive, multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Counsellors, and Psychologists (with a strong focus on physical rehabilitation and function-based outcomes) What You Will Need: Degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology AHPRA or ESSA registration or equivalent professional registration.
