About The Role:
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced People and Culture Advisor to join our team at Busselton Water. Initially on a contract basis with a view to permanency, this key role will be responsible for providing generalist human resources support to drive the continued growth and success of the business.
Responsibilities:
* Providing operational HR advice and support on a broad range of people-related matters for enhancing the employee experience, learning and development, performance management, digital systems implementation, talent acquisition and employee relations.
* Developing and implementing organisational policies, procedures and initiatives that align with the company's values and objectives.
* Partnering with leaders to identify and address people-related challenges and opportunities.
* Driving continuous improvement and knowledge in HR best practices and employee engagement.
* Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activities.
* Coordinating trainee, vacation and graduate schemes.
* Provide timely reporting of employee analytics, trends and improvement strategies.
* Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant HR legislation.
* Providing coaching and support to managers on people management best practices.
Selection Criteria:
* Degree qualified in HR, Business or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within an operational services environment.
* Excellent understanding of Australian employment legislation and best practices in human resources and change management.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic and commercially sound focused HR solutions.
* Proficient with HR policy, information systems and data compliance management.
* Passion for driving continuous improvement and enhancing the employee experience, whilst building the people and culture portfolio.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
* Team player with a 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn and provide team coverage across Safety to efficiently support the business.
