We specialise in commercial fabrication and complicated fabrications such as Mono stringers, providing steel house columns, steel beams and steel stringers for the domestic and renovating market.
We are currently looking for an experienced Factory Worker to join our team at our workshop based in North Brisbane. This is a full-time position, working within our operating hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm.
**About the role**:
In this role, you will operate the band saw cutting machine in our busy workshop and assist with maintaining the Brisbane Posts and Beams yard, sheds, and equipment. You will also support other production tasks as needed to help ensure the business runs smoothly and safely.
**Your day may include**:
- Operating the band saw and CNC machine, including setting up the machines, inputting measurements and cutting steel items including CNC plasma cutting.
- Overseeing the upkeep of the band saw, including coordinating maintenance as required
- Completing daily stocktake of steel lengths in stock
- Safely operating the forklift to store and transport product
- Completing the required paperwork for completed jobs
- Providing team support and assisting in various workshop functions
- Ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements at all times
**Our ideal new addition will have**:
- Experience in a similar role, working with steel
- Current and valid forklift licence
- Ability to operate a band saw cutting and CNC machine
- Skills and understanding in manipulating, cutting, shaping and welding metal for construction and manufacturing purposes
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- High attention to detail

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

**Experience**:
- Steel: 1 year (required)
- Saw cutting: 1 year (preferred)
- CNC laser cutting: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
