1300apprentice is looking for a highly motivated and committed **1st year Cabinetmaking apprentice **to join a highly-skilled, professional team in **Rockdale**
Our partner has a small, dedicated team of skilled timber craftsmen and a wider network of artisan metal workers, painters, upholsterers and stone masons. Their teamwork with leading names in the design industry and brands to create custom spaces and objects. This includes custom furniture pieces, installations and highly crafted commercial interiors.
**A living, breathing substance that continues to interact with its environment long after it has been shaped for purpose, timber is the building block of this creative practice**.
**In joining this team, you will be learning your craft from true professionals, who are willing to pass on their knowledge to see you succeed.**
**Some of what you will learn**:
- Make measurements and calculations
- Use of hand and power tools
- Read and interpret work documents
- Fabricate custom furniture
- Prepare cutting list from plans and job specifications
- Set up, operate and maintain computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining and processing centres
**To be successful**:
- Must have up-to-date TAFE transcripts if you are a current apprentice
- Physically fit and not afraid of physically demanding work
- Well presented
- **Committed to a 4-year Carpentry Apprenticeship**:
- Dedicated, reliable and hungry to learn
- White Card or willing to obtain one
- Driver's Licence and own transport (desirable)
- **Above all passionate about becoming a highly-skilled, professional carpenter**
