Come work with a well-established Gold Mining company Position will be offered on a 8:6 roster from Perth Our Darlot team has an opening for dynamic Mine Scheduling Engineer Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer the Scheduling Engineer is responsible for developing and managing comprehensive mining schedules.

The Darlot mine is located about 900 km northeast of Perth and 121 km north of Leonora, in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
The position will be offered on 8:6 as FIFO from Perth Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer the Scheduling Engineer is responsible for developing and managing comprehensive mining schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and aligning production with strategic Life of Mine (LOM) objectives.
This role requires a high level of expertise in scheduling tools and methodologies to effectively balance operational demands, resource availability, and budget constraints.
The Scheduler collaborates closely with mine planning, production, maintenance, and technical teams, emphasizing compliance with Australian mining regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Additionally, the role requires advanced analytical, organizational, and communication skills to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities of this role will include: Schedule Development and Management: Create and manage detailed medium-term to long-term production schedules (1 – 18 months), incorporating inputs from mine planning, geological, and operational teams.
Resource Optimization: Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including equipment, personnel, and budget, while minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
Schedule Compliance: Regularly monitor schedule adherence, identify deviations, and proactively implement corrective actions to maintain alignment with production targets.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise closely with planning, production, technical services (including corporate mining engineering team) and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of scheduling activities.
Performance Analysis and Reporting: Analyze scheduling performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and regularly communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Initiate and lead scheduling process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness to operational changes.
About You: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mining Engineering or related discipline or it's equivalence Minimum of 2 years' experience in Drill and Blast, Minimum 2 years' experience in Planning Role, and 1 year Production Role Proficiency in mine design scheduling software and tools relevant to underground mining (Deswik preferred) Competent in interpreting mine planning, production, and operational data.
