About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join bright Star foods' as a Bakery Manager in our Toowoomba, QLD 4350 location. As the Bakery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our busy bakery operation, ensuring we deliver high-quality baked goods to our customers. This is a full-time role that offers a competitive salary and great benefits.

What you'll be doing
1. Manage and oversee all bakery operations, including production, inventory, and staff scheduling
2. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
3. Hold a current Food Safety Supervisor certification to ensure compliance with Australian food safety regulations
4. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
5. Train and supervise bakery staff, providing coaching and feedback
6. Collaborate with the wider team to develop new product ideas and recipes
7. Manage the bakery budget and monitor financial performance
8. Provide excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries and complaints
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a Bakery Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the Bakers & Pastry and or cafe industry
2. Minimum of less than 1 year of bakery management experience is required for this position
3. Candidates with food service management experience will be considered for this role
4. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and product quality standards
5. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
7. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Proficient in using bakery equipment and technology
