Your challenge
We have a great opportunity for a customer-oriented Field Service Engineer to join our team based in NSW North. You will work with our Digital Xray and Image-Guided Therapy product portfolios and will be responsible for servicing Newcastle, Hunter Region, Central Coast, through to Northern Sydney suburbs. Ideally, you will be based on the Central Coast, Newcastle, or within the region.
This is a critical customer-facing role with responsibilities including maintaining and developing robust customer relationships and providing expert technical advice on maintenance, installation, and servicing of our medical equipment (software & hardware) in line with our regulations and policies.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working collaboratively with the wider organization to provide exceptional service to our customers. Services include corrective & preventative maintenance, commissioning & installation of equipment, and software & hardware upgrades.
2. Actively participating in the sales process and providing expert technical support throughout the entire lifecycle of our customer relationships (from pre-sales through to implementation and post-sales support).
3. Managing and supporting technical escalations through to resolution, ensuring all stakeholders are continually updated on progress according to company processes.
4. Providing best-in-class service to our customers with technical support, maintenance, and repairs on equipment by determining the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime.
5. Maintaining a high level of knowledge through continual training and development and keeping up to date with new technologies relevant to your area of focus.
6. Working reasonable additional hours outside business hours as necessary, including on-call support, due to the criticality of the equipment.
You will bring
1. Previous experience in customer-facing service engineering roles. Familiarity with medical equipment like X-ray, IGT, or Angiography is desirable, but candidates from various industries are welcome.
2. A degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or experience as an Engineer in the Australian Defence Force specializing in Communications Electronics, RADAR, Instrumentation, or Avionics.
3. Restricted Electrical Licence is highly regarded.
4. Strong IT skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Full AU driver's license and Australian working rights.
6. Police checks will be required during onboarding.
