This is a 12-month position responsible for strategic planning, development, and execution of initiatives to maximize sales and profit growth within the optical product category for our retail business. The role requires proven effectiveness in managing point-of-purchase drivers through in-depth category, market, and commercial understanding.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement category strategies aligned with our goals
* Define product positioning, pricing strategies, and promotional plans to maximize revenue and profitability
* Manage product lifecycle, including launches, refreshes, and discontinuations
* Leverage data analytics tools to monitor category performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and supply chain teams
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and project management experience. They will also have knowledge of SAP and BI tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years of experience in category management, product management, or related roles (Optical experience highly regarded)
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategies
