About you
We are seeking an experienced DevOps professional with a strong background in designing, automating, and scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms. You understand modern cloud-native architecture and have hands-on expertise building secure, high-performing CI/CD pipelines, particularly using GitHub Actions, to enable rapid, reliable feature delivery.
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles, ideally gained within high-growth SaaS or cloud-based environments. You are confident working across Azure services and Infrastructure as Code frameworks, and you bring a deep understanding of deployment strategies, tenant lifecycle management, and automation at scale.
You are highly skilled in translating engineering requirements into robust automation workflows that connect development velocity with operational excellence. You take ownership of platform reliability, security, and performance, and you are passionate about embedding best practices in CI/CD, observability, and secure software supply chains.
In this role, you will lead the evolution of our GitHub-native automation ecosystem and SaaS control plane, enabling seamless tenant provisioning, zero-downtime deployments, and scalable infrastructure growth.
The ideal candidate has proven experience working in multi-tenant SaaS environments, is confident in Azure cloud architecture and Kubernetes-based workloads, and thrives in collaborative, Agile teams. Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions (YAML-based) for building, testing, and deploying microservices, serverless components, front-end assets, and containerized apps to Azure services (App Service, AKS, Azure Functions, Static Web Apps, Cosmos DB, etc.).
Automate infrastructure as code (IaC) provisioning and configuration using Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform integrated into GitHub Actions workflows; support multi-tenant architectures with shared and isolated resources.
Build and evolve a SaaS control plane for automated tenant provisioning, upgrades, feature toggles, configuration management, and de-provisioning — triggered via APIs, webhooks, GitHub events, or self-service portals.
Implement deployment strategies suited to SaaS (blue-green, canary, ring-based rollouts, dark launches) with rollback mechanisms, environment protections, and required approvals in GitHub Environments.
Integrate automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance) into workflows; collaborate on test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium / Playwright / Cypress for UI, or API testing tools) to enforce quality gates and PR checks.
Manage Git repositories (GitHub), branching strategies (GitFlow / Trunk-based), PR workflows, branch protection rules, and required reviews to support collaborative development.
Ensure platform security, compliance, and observability: integrate GitHub Secrets, OIDC with Azure for credential-less auth, Dependabot, CodeQL, Azure Monitor / Application Insights, and logging / alerting.
Optimize workflow performance, cost, and reliability (caching, matrix / parallel jobs, artifact management, reusable workflows / actions).
Troubleshoot production issues, support on-call rotations, and drive continuous improvement in deployment frequency, lead time, and change failure rate.
Collaborate with development, product, security, and SRE teams to align on platform roadmaps and best practices per Azure Well-Architected Framework (SaaS lens) and GitHub's secure supply chain recommendations.
Requirements
5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles, with proven experience standing up and scaling SaaS platforms.
Expert-level hands-on with GitHub Actions (workflows, composite / reusable actions, matrix strategies, environments, OIDC federation).
Strong proficiency in Azure services for SaaS: App Service, AKS / Kubernetes, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Storage, Front Door / CDN, Entra ID, Key Vault.
IaC expertise: Bicep, ARM, or Terraform; experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Solid scripting / programming: PowerShell, Python, Bash, or JavaScript / TypeScript for custom actions and automation.
Advanced Git workflows, branch protection, GitHub Apps, and organization-level policies.
Familiarity with SaaS patterns: multi-tenancy (row / partition vs. silo), tenant isolation, subscription / per-tenant resource models, and automated lifecycle management.
Understanding of monitoring / telemetry (Azure Monitor, App Insights) and security practices (least privilege, OIDC, secrets management via GitHub).
Agile / Scrum experience; strong collaboration and communication skills.
Highly Desirable
Test automation knowledge (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks integrated into workflows).
Certifications: GitHub Advanced Security, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer (or Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect), or equivalent.
Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
Familiarity with AI/ML workloads or emerging GitHub features (e.g., Copilot for Actions, agentic workflows).
