The Role We are seeking an exceptional, mature-minded nanny for a private family in Benowa. This is a sensitive role, providing a stable, calm, and happy environment for two children (a boy aged 6 and a girl aged 4).
The family is currently navigating a challenging period as the mother undergoes diagnosis and treatment for a mental illness. We are looking for a nanny who can be a \"calm in the storm\"—someone who can keep the children's lives consistent, happy, and grounded while the mother is at home but focused on her recovery.
The Details
* Location: Benowa, Gold Coast (Ideally seeking a local candidate).
* Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
* Overnights: One to two nights per week (included in the salary).
* The Focus: Keeping the children engaged, safe, and supported. You will need to maintain a peaceful, non-judgmental presence in a home where the dynamic may shift day-to-day.
About You This role calls for a special Nanny/Carer—someone with high levels of empathy who understands the importance of discretion.
* Stability: You are looking for a long-term commitment and can provide steady, reliable care for the children
* Compassion: You have a deep understanding of mental health challenges and a high level of emotional intelligence.
* Qualifications: Current Blue Card and First Aid are essential. A background in education, psychology, or maternal support is a significant advantage.
* Nature: You are patient, kind, and able to work harmoniously alongside a mother who is present in the home.
Remuneration To reflect the significance of this role and the flexibility required for overnight stays, the family are offering a premium salary package of $100,000 per annum.You must also have :
* Current Blue Card & First Aid (Essential)
* Confidence with Primary/Pre-school ages (6 & 4 years)
* A \"Can-Do\" attitude & emotional intelligence
