The RoleWe are looking for Senior Payroll Officers, on a 6-month contract to join our Finance Department, based in the Support Office in Hawthorn East (with work-from-home options).
Some of your responsibilities will include:Assist in preparing fortnightly payrolls for multiple sites and locations across VictoriaUpdating and maintaining payroll records, including processing variations, new starters, leave, timesheetsCalculation and processing of termination payments and correction paysCalculation of any under or over payments, reconciliations and other complex calculationsProcess Centrelink requests, ABS surveys, information requestsPayroll Service Desk – effective liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries logged in the service desk and process adjustments
About youExperienced in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of taxation and superannuation legislation (Care system)Systems confident for use of HRIS, electronic timekeeping systems and related databasesHigh level of attention to detail and strengths in accuracyAbility to interpret and apply conditions of employment (Awards, Enterprise Agreements, Contracts of Employment)Excellent customer service skills, and ability to provide timely actions and responses
