Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale, which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale offers access to the Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach, and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care through an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service includes beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield). Acute services feature a full-time emergency department, critical care units, neonatal critical care, three operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology, and dialysis services, along with general medical and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health, providing placements and clinical experience for students.
About the Role
Food Service Assistants contribute to preparing and delivering food to patients/residents and maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients/residents, staff, and visitors. The role involves upholding high standards of quality care, service, reliability, and safety, aligning with the organization's vision, mission, and values.
Duties
1. Comply with food safety guidelines, including CGH Food Safety Plan guidelines.
2. Clean and sanitise cooking and food preparation areas.
3. Distribute meals to patients.
4. Wash dishes.
