About WAISL:

Role Overview:

As a BD/KAM, you will be the primary liaison between WAISL and its strategic airport clients in Australia & New Zealand Markets. Your focus will be on penetrating new customers and responding to opportunities including developing long-term relationships, identifying growth opportunities, ensuring service excellence with projects that are won, and managing key stakeholder expectations.

This position reports to CBO SEA and therefore might require long hours of working/calls past 6pm local time in ANZ. May require weekend work/travel as well.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and manage strong, strategic relationships with key airport authorities and stakeholders.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring high degree of client satisfaction.
* Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell WAISL's airport IT solutions and services. Specific focus on cyber security and core airport IT opportunities.
* Drive contract renewals, account growth, and new business within existing accounts.
* Collaborate with internal technical, operations, and project delivery teams to ensure SLA adherence and service excellence.
* Monitor industry trends and provide client feedback to internal teams for product and service innovation.
* Prepare and deliver account performance reports, presentations, and executive summaries to clients and leadership.
* Act as a problem-solver for clients, managing escalations and ensuring timely resolution.
* Support RFP responses, solution presentations, and commercial negotiations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, IT, or related field. MBA is a plus.
* 7+ years of experience in key account management, preferably in the aviation, airport IT, or smart infrastructure domains.
* Proven track record in managing large enterprise or government accounts, especially in aviation or airport operations.
* Strong understanding of airport processes, technologies (AODB, CUTE/CUPPS, BHS, FIDS, etc.), and operational challenges.
* Must have hands on experience in penetrating a new account, winning a project in tender and executing from quote to cash.
* Experience working with government entities, regulatory bodies, or PPPs in the aviation sector is advantageous.

* Technical understanding of airport IT systems and digital infrastructure.
* Project coordination and service delivery alignment capabilities.
* Strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset.

Preferred:

* Experience working with or selling to Australian airport authorities.
* Knowledge of New Zealand market is preferred.
* Familiarity with ICAO, IATA, or other international aviation standards.
* Availability to travel within Australia, NZ and occasionally to international WAISL locations.
* Has to be Aussie PR (unconditional) or Aus Citizen. NZ citizen with Aus PR can be considered as well.
