Full Time Administration Support Officer

Support a dynamic team within Victoria's largest medium security prison.

Engage in diverse administrative tasks fostering rehabilitation and reintegration efforts.

Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.

The Administration Support Officer (ASO) plays a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency of the Ravenhall Correctional Center. This position involves providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to various teams across the Center, including Human Resources, Finance, and Operations.

As an ASO, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, managing communication, and assisting with general office functions. Your ability to work collaboratively in a correctional environment is essential to fostering a supportive atmosphere for both staff and prisoners.

$62,000 plus superannuation.

Your Skills & Experience

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, able to work effectively in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering positive relationships.

* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of office procedures.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to learn internal databases.
* Desirable: Certificate IV in Business Administration.

As an Administration Officer you will be responsible for but not limited to:

* Perform clerical duties and provide administrative support as directed by the relevant Senior Manager.
* Collect and ensure accuracy of data.
* Maintain appropriate records, filing and information retrieval systems.
* Prepare Reports as requested.
* Provide relief for ASO positions within the Centre including but not limited to Human Resources (Administration support), Finance & Administration (Switchboard, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Mail), Operations (Visits, Records, Prisoner Property, Prisoner Money), Programs, Industries, Vocational Services, Programs and Rehabilitation & Reintegration services.
* Understand and advise staff in relation to Ravenhall Operating Manual and GEO policies and procedures.
* Any other responsibilities/duties as required.
