Payments expansion. One of Australia’s most successful EdTech platforms is entering its next chapter, and you’ll help lead the charge. This isn’t your typical account manager role. We’re looking for someone with financial acumen, C-suite polish, and the kind of resilience that gets deals done in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Someone who can sit across from a school CFO or Diocesan Board, unpack their payments strategy, and turn underutilised modules into high-performing revenue channels. You’ll be joining a nationally recognised software company serving thousands of K–12 schools across Australia. With major contracts in place, a dominant market position, and big growth plans ahead, they’re doubling down on expansion, and that’s where you come in. Why This Role? $130K base OTE of $250K–$280K (inclusive of super) Hybrid model – ideally based in Sydney (3 office/client days, 2 WFH) Own a high-value vertical – focus on private schools and payments adoption Help shape a high-performing expansion team and make a real impact Backed by strong tech, delivery, and onboarding teams already in place What You’ll Actually Do: Manage and grow existing relationships across a portfolio of private schools and school networks Drive adoption of payments products (fees, uniforms, canteen, excursions, and more) Engage deeply with CFOs, Treasurers, and senior administrators to understand challenges and tailor solutions Expand revenue by increasing transaction volume and module penetration Partner with internal onboarding, delivery, and product teams to align on rollout plans Navigate complex governance environments with professionalism and persistence Use insights and data to build strategic account plans and secure long-term wins What Success Looks Like: Expansion of payments volume and merchant facility usage across your portfolio Increased module adoption across key private school accounts Consistent activity – stakeholder meetings, site visits, solution proposals Seen as a trusted advisor, not just a seller What We’re Looking For: 5 years B2B sales experience – ideally from fintech, SaaS, or payments Confidence selling into C-level and Board-level stakeholders Strong grasp of payments: merchant rates, interchange, transaction fees High EQ – able to balance commercial rigour with educational empathy Persistence – you know how to work through long sales cycles and multiple decision layers Excellent communication, project management, and CRM discipline Based in Sydney (preferred) or Melbourne, with willingness to travel for client visits ✨ Bonus Points If You Have: Sold into schools, EdTech, or education finance Worked in merchant services (Stripe, Square, Tyro, Adyen, etc.) A background in economics, business, or finance Why This Opportunity?
