Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Development & Account Management
(1) Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and other professional channel partners. Build a tiered customer management system (Key Accounts / Growth Accounts / Opportunity Accounts) to improve repeat purchases and product distribution coverage.
(2) Project Sales (Contractor / Project): Visit and engage contractors, construction crews, developers, designers/consultants, general contractors and subcontractors to capture project leads and drive volume growth.
(3) Create and execute project advancement plans, including sample testing, technical briefings/site handovers, quotation and commercial negotiations, order fulfillment, and end-to-end payment collection/closure.
1. Market & Product Promotion
(1) Work closely with marketing and technical teams to organize product training, on-site demonstrations, trial evaluations, and customer technical support.
(2) Collect competitor and market intelligence (pricing, channels, policies, customer preferences) and provide weekly/monthly market feedback reports.
1. Sales Forecasting & KPI Delivery
(1) Own regional sales target breakdown, pipeline management, rolling forecasts, and target achievement.
(2) Key KPIs include sales revenue, gross margin, cash collection, distribution/coverage, new key account acquisition, and project conversion rate.
1. Internal Collaboration
(1) Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure delivery timelines, inventory availability, credit terms, and risk control.
(2) Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reports to ensure data integrity and traceability.
Qualifications:
1. Experience
5+ years of sales experience in building materials / industrial products / construction-related industries (channel sales or project sales experience is required; both is a plus).
1. Industry Knowledge
Strong understanding of the building materials business cycle, including distribution networks, contractor ecosystems, project tendering/procurement and quotation logic, and jobsite delivery processes.
1. Core Competencies
(1) Strong negotiation skills and solid commercial acumen (pricing structures, gross margin, credit terms, and risk awareness).
(2) Clear and effective communicator, able to deliver training/demos and articulate technical value propositions (engineering background not required, but willingness to learn products is essential).
(3) Language & Work Eligibility: Business-level English for day-to-day communication, emails, and quotations (can be adjusted to "English working proficiency preferred" if internal support is available).
(4) Must have legal work rights in Australia (PR/Citizen/valid work visa) and a valid driver's license; able to drive to customer sites and jobsites.
(5) Existing customer network in Queensland (distributors/contractors/project stakeholders) is highly preferred; Brisbane-based candidates are strongly preferred.
(6) Experience in relevant product categories such as construction waterproofing, roofing, flooring, sealants/adhesives, and admixtures is a plus.
