Intermediate / Senior Estimator
COMMERCIAL, GOVERNMENT, MEDIUM DENSITY HOUSING & AGED CARE
Our company is a well-known and highly respected construction company specialising in commercial and residential building projects for predominantly government based clients. We have been experiencing steady growth over the last 12 months and are now looking for an Experienced Estimator to join our close-knit team.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to manage multiple tenders at one time for various construction and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Preparation& Submission of Online Tenders through various tender portals.
* Prepare accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates
* Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to assess project scope and requirements.
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather all necessary information for estimating.
* Perform cost analysis for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors.
* Ensure that all estimates are delivered on time.
* Undertake preparation of tender submissions and presentations.
* Continuously update cost databases and ensure pricing is accurate and up-to-date
Ideally you will be tertiary qualified or come from a trade background with at least 5 years’ demonstrated industry experience in a similar role.
You will also:
* Have excellent verbal & written communication skills with a professional attitude.
* Proficient skills in the use of the following computer programs; Buildsoft / Cubit, Cost-x, MS Project, Excel and MS Word
* Be able to interpret tender documents, plans, finishes schedules and specifications.
* Be client focused with a sense of urgency & an eye for detail.
