About the Position
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our Infrastructure Management team as a Senior Technical Officer.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the condition and maintenance of Council's roads, bridges, footpaths, and drainage assets.
You will conduct regular inspections of infrastructure assets, identify defects, assess conditions, report findings, and contribute to the prioritization of works across the region.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership and supervisory capabilities, experience in engineering, civil construction, asset inspections, or infrastructure maintenance, and good knowledge of TMR standards and RMPC requirements.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively communicate with internal teams and members of the public.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular inspections of infrastructure assets, including roads, bridges, footpaths, and drainage systems.
* Identify defects and assess conditions, documenting findings and providing recommendations for maintenance and rehabilitation.
* Maintain accurate records in Council's asset management systems.
* Ensure inspections align with relevant standards and guidelines.
* Analyze inspection findings to prioritize maintenance and renewal works.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
