The Property Services function is responsible for the delivery of leasing services and facilities management, together with the provision of strategic property advice ensuring that our facilities support the Bureau's activities and outcomes.The Leasing Administrator reports directly to the Leasing Manager and is responsible for the overall administrative duties associated with the Bureau's national property portfolio. The Leasing Administrator ensures that administrative duties are conducted with an awareness of delivering a safe, compliant, and fit for purpose property outcome that enables the Bureau to achieve its objectives.Role responsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:Complying with all Bureau work, health and safety policies and procedures, and taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of employees, contractors and visitors who may be affected by your conduct.Supporting the Leasing Specialists with all tasks associated with administration, securing tenure, and ensuring an optimal outcome for the Bureau.Assisting senior team members in preparing agreements and facilitating document execution.Professional engagement with internal and external parties to proactively fulfill the Leasing team's requirements.Undertaking and completing property related due diligence tasks by utilising various state-based mapping programs and internal platforms to support and inform decisions.Ensuring compliance with legislative and statutory requirements, risk management frameworks and processes and lease administration operating procedures.Maintaining accurate records and reports on leasing-related activities.Maintain, update and keep all records of all conversations in the internal Customer Relationship Management system.Managing the preparation, sending and return of project related correspondence.Assisting and providing support with planning, gathering information, and managing systems.Complying and operating under the responsibilities and limits of authority of the Commonwealth Property Management Framework and the Land Acquisitions Act 1989.Contributing to setting the direction of work priorities and practices, monitoring work flow and identifying training needs for lower classification levels.Be aware of, and apply as necessary, the principles and practices of the various elements of the Bureau's Social Justice policies.How to applyApplications can be lodged through the Bureau of Meteorology Careers.Your application will consist of resume, contact details for two referees and a ‘300-word pitch’ that considers:position overviewjob responsibilitiesselection criteriarelevant sections of the Integrated Leadership System (ILS) and APS work level standards.
