We're partnering with a well‐known Australian organisation currently undergoing a significant data and analytics transformation. They are looking to bring in a hands‐on Data Architect to support the design and delivery of a modern data platform and lead a key Master Data Management (MDM) and data quality initiative.
This is a senior contract role suited to someone who enjoys working close to the technology and the business designing solutions, engaging stakeholders, and driving delivery rather than operating purely at an enterprise strategy level.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design of modern data architecture supporting enterprise data and analytics initiatives.
* Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
* Drive the end‐to‐end design and delivery of a Master Data platform, including supporting the RFP process for MDM and data quality solutions.
* Define data models, architecture patterns, governance and integration approaches across the data platform.
* Provide architectural guidance across ingestion, transformation and storage layers.
* Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable and aligned to business needs.
Key Experience Required
* 8+ years experience in Data Architecture or Senior Data Engineering roles.
* Proven experience delivering modern cloud data platforms end‐to‐end.
* Experience leading or delivering Master Data Management (MDM) or data quality initiatives.
* Strong experience with modern cloud data technologies including:
o Snowflake
o AWS
o Databricks
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work across business and technical teams.
* Comfortable being hands‐on with architecture and design decisions.
