The Queensland Government's Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled HR professional to join the Darling Downs South West Regional Human Resources branch.
This role involves providing expert advice on human resource management services, including workforce management strategies, recruitment and selection, industrial relations, organisational health services, change management, complex HR issues, and school workforce management.
As a senior member of the regional and HR program management team, you will lead work or project teams to assist schools in achieving organisational goals through improved resource use and HR practices.

About The Role
Your responsibilities include:
1. Monitoring, planning, and leading work or project teams to support schools in improving resource use and HR practices.
2. Contributing to change and relational management processes as a senior member of the regional and HR program management team.
3. Establishing effective internal partnerships to deliver quality HR services.
4. Conducting reviews of HR services programs and functions.
5. Developing innovative solutions to support schools in workforce planning aligned with their core missions and community needs.
6. Assisting schools in developing workforce plans, structures, and processes that promote workplace health and safety.
7. Identifying and addressing high-level HR policy issues in collaboration with key stakeholders, supporting departmental strategies.
8. Supporting local consultancies to build school and community capacity and provide HR services and advice.
9. Referencing staff to employee counselling and support services.
10. Managing cases involving medical concerns, including rehabilitation, return-to-work programs, and ill-health retirement options.
11. Advising schools on performance management, handling complaints and grievances, facilitating conflict resolution, and recommending disciplinary actions as needed.
