Finance and Business Services Division Full-time, fixed term position for up to 12 months Base salary will be in the range $113,377 - $127,112 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8) Based at our St Lucia location About This Opportunity The Senior Finance Business Intelligence Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the reporting dashboards essential to the 2025 Finance Business Services (FBS) operating model. The role sits within a collaborative and growing Operational Support and Process Enhancement team and will provide strategic leadership in managing increasing FBS reporting demands. With a strong focus on finance data analysis, dashboard development, and process improvement, this position will also guide internal analysts, ensuring effective project delivery and informed decision-making. Key responsibilities will include: Provide expert analysis of financial data to inform strategic decision making and finance function planning Effective project management of internal and external reporting, including identifying possible solutions and managing the distribution of the work to members of the Operational Support and Process enhancement team. Identify, analyse and report on finance trends for client groups, including the provision of analytic support for the FBS operating model or other assignments relating to finance operations as required. Develop new online reports, automated reporting packages and management dashboards to meet users’ needs, changing business needs and to improve business process monitoring. Provide advice to finance process owners and FBS leadership around the business process changes that are required to support reporting and analytics. A demonstrated high level of knowledge and proficiency in using a variety of business analytics techniques, methods and applications including specialist business intelligence software, spreadsheet applications, database applications, word processing and email. In particular: Proficiency in using the advanced features of a business intelligence software application such as SAP Business Objects or BI, including linking universes, building variables, sub queries, drill down and advanced formatting. Proficiency in using the advanced features of Excel spreadsheets, including macros, lookups, hyperlinks and formatting. Knowledge and proficiency in statistical techniques such as linear regression, descriptive statistics and predictive analytics and the use of such techniques to further organisational objectives. Adept in basic data visualisation techniques such as charting and information display. Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues, set realistic goals and establish or adapt work priorities for time management in a fast paced work environment whilst maintaining a client service focus. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to actively communicate, consult and negotiate with staff at all levels.
