Senior Analyst

Division Support and Public Accountability

Principal location – Parramatta - Flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Employment type – Ongoing – Full time (35 hours)

Salary – Clerk Grade 9/10, Base Salary ($129,464 - $142,665), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

Lead the reporting workstream within Service Improvement and Reporting (SI&R) team, delivering high-quality analysis and insights on workloads, quality, and performance for ministerial and executive requests. This is a great opportunity to shape reporting products, influence senior decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across Division Support and Public Accountability (DSPA), the Department, in partnership with its stakeholders.

What you'll do

As part of the Service Improvement and Reporting (SI&R) team within Division Support and Public Accountability (DSPA), you will lead the design, development and drive continuous improvement of reporting products, insights and analytics.

You will lead analysis and reporting to provide insights into workloads, performance and quality, and contribute to business improvement initiatives.

You will also:

* Design and enhance reporting products to support stakeholders in understanding performance and identifying improvement opportunities
* Develop tools and frameworks to analyse and improve ministerial reporting processes and workflows
* Monitor and report on performance, quality and workload trends across ministerial and executive requests
* Identify systemic issues, emerging risks and opportunities for process improvement through data analysis
* Provide evidence-based advice, briefs and reports to senior leaders and executives
* Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights tailored to different audiences
* Conduct research into best-practice reporting approaches and implement improvements
* Contribute to the development of reporting strategies, frameworks and team workplans
* Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business unit and Department priorities
* Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to support reporting needs
* Ensure data integrity, quality assurance and consistency across reporting outputs
* Support and mentor team members, contributing to team capability and continuous development
* Work as part of a small, collaborative and high-performing team focused on continuous improvement and delivering quality outcomes.

What we're looking for

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting complex data and delivering clear, actionable insights to inform decision-making in a fast-paced environment
* Experience designing and delivering reporting products, dashboards or analytical tools that support performance monitoring and continuous improvement
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality briefs, reports and present insights clearly to senior stakeholders
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and build effective, collaborative relationships to drive business improvement outcomes.
