We are seeking either a recent Civil Engineering or Construction Management graduate or a Site Engineer or Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor with 1-2 years of site experience who is interested in joining the estimating team at Ward Civil. We are also keen to hear from students studying for a degree in either Civil Engineering or Construction Management, who can commit to working three days per week minimum.
The position will involve assisting the estimating team in the preparation of tenders for civil engineering contracts.
Duties include:
* Assessment of tender documents and drawings to determine the scope of works
* Measurements of quantities from tender documents
* Preparation of subcontractor and supply packages
* Preparing and managing RFIs with clients and consultants
* Procurement of quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
* Comparison and analysis of subcontractor pricing
* Assist Estimators to develop methodology and staging for tender submissions
