Responsibilities for this role are:
- Leading guided tours providing engaging and informative tours for visitors, sharing the property's history, architecture and significance while ensuring a positive visitor experience
- Encourage visitor interaction sharing anecdotes and fostering discussion to enhance the learning experience
- Create an inclusive atmosphere where visitors feel welcome and valued
- Monitor the health and safety of the visitors and fellow volunteers by following the property's health and safety guidelines
Training
- Induction and familiarisation visit with the property and staff
- Guidance on the content and delivery of tours
- On-the-job training in tour delivery and customer service
- Guidance on providing a positive visitor experience during special events and exhibitions
- Ongoing support from staff and fellow volunteers
