About The Role

Albury Wodonga Health requires an Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in Albury Day Procedures. Our day procedure services Albury's four operating theatres specialising in Orthopaedics, General, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Paediatrics, and Trauma procedures. Primary responsibilities include general nursing duties, pre and post operative monitoring and observation, IV management, comprehensive patient assessment, escalation of deterioration and multidisciplinary care planning. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this opportunity.
* Current Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with APHRA (Australian Health Practitioners Agency).
* Demonstrates a person and family centered approach to decision making and care planning activities.
* Ability to work as a team member within a multidisciplinary environment.
* Demonstrates an understanding of and the ability to practice within a quality and risk management framework.
* Is able to describe and demonstrate the utilization of evidence based practice into own practice.
* Understanding of WHS legislation as it relates to employees' responsibilities.
* An ability to describe clinical governance as it pertains to nursing / midwifery.
The ability to utilize electronic information systems / software used across healthcare settings.
