Fast Track Restoration is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Melbourne team on a full‐time basis (38 hours per week). The role centres on make‐safe and rectification carpentry for residential and commercial properties affected by water/flood and other building damage with a focus on quality workmanship, safety and timely delivery.
What you'll be doing
* Carry out carpentry tasks associated with insurance restoration and make‐safes, including framing, fixing and fit‐out.
* Install and repair doors, windows, skirting, architraves and cabinetry as required.
* Read and interpret plans/sketches/specifications and complete work accurately to a high standard.
* Coordinate temporary make‐safe works and work collaboratively with project managers, other trades and clients.
* Maintain a safe, compliant and organised work environment and complete required WHS documentation.
* Where required, provide guidance to junior carpenters/apprentices.
What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience as a Carpenter (approximately 1–3 years or more).
* Strong technical carpentry skills, tools knowledge and ability to work efficiently across multiple jobs.
* Experience in insurance restoration/flood‐damage works is highly regarded.
* Strong communication skills and professional presentation on client sites.
* Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Carpentry) preferred; White Card and current driver's licence.
Location
* Melbourne (VIC) and surrounding areas; site‐based work with travel between jobs as required.
Employment type and hours
* Permanent, full‐time (38 hours per week), with reasonable additional hours as required to meet job requirements.
* Base salary $75,000–$90,000 per annum (exclusive of superannuation), commensurate with skills and experience.
