Empire facades is a reputable façade contractor based in South Sydney, known for delivering high-quality façade projects across the commercial, luxury retail, and infrastructure sectors. We have been around for 20 years and have constructed the facade envelope to some of the country's most notable buildings. With a strong pipeline of upcoming work and a collaborative team culture, we are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator or Estimating Cadet to join our pre-contracts team.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an up-and-coming estimator looking to further develop their skills within a well-structured and supportive environment. Working closely with the Senior Estimator and Project Managers, you'll assist in the preparation of accurate tenders and cost plans across a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for remedial projects
* Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure competitive tendering
* Support the preparation of BOQs, cost breakdowns, and budgets
* Participate in tender reviews, handovers, and project kick‑off meetings
* Maintain and update cost databases and supplier records
* Regularly monitor tenders in/out
About You
Have a can‑do attitude and want to be a key part of the company culture.
Be confident in picking up the phone and building relationships with suppliers and external clients.
Any experience in the built environment would be an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn from senior staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint; exposure to estimating software is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication and organisational skills.
Must have permanent residency or citizenship in Australia and be based in NSW
