Overview
We\'re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Administration Officer to provide excellent support to our Community Laws team. If you have a knack for organisation, love helping the community, and enjoy working in a supportive environment, this role is for you!
The Opportunity:
In this role you\'ll be at the heart of our Community Laws Unit, handling everything from database management and customer service to processing permits and managing animal registrations. It\'s a agile job where no two days are the same!
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support, including preparation of letters, notices, and record maintenance.
- Assist Community Laws Officers with data input and task management.
- Monitor the permit and infringement processes to ensure compliance.
- Help process animal registrations and assist with our annual renewal process.
- Collect and report relevant data to help us improve and serve the community better.
This is a full time, ongoing position, based in Bairnsdale.
Key Selection Criteria
- Relevant experience or knowledge in the provision of administrative skills and database management duties and functions.
- Ability to make decisions with a minimum of guidance.
- Excellent keyboard and computer skills and an ability to adapt to the Shire’s computer software applications.
- Ability to manage busy workloads and to be clear about setting priorities in the context of team objectives.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
