Kynetec is a global leader in agricultural and animal health market research. Following our acquisition of Freshlogic, we continue to deliver specialised consulting and data-driven insights for the food and agribusiness sector, with particular expertise in horticulture, supermarket trends, and retail pricing data.
We are seeking a Research Analyst to join our ANZ team in Richmond. This part‐time role (2 days per week) focuses on delivering high-quality research, analytics, and reporting that support clients' strategic decision‐making.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect, collate, and stream market and retail data from external providers and internal sources.
* Process incoming datasets into defined databases using MySQL, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
* Build and maintain Tableau dashboards that communicate insights on horticulture supply chains.
* Maintain and improve business processes and systems supporting data collection, analysis, and product delivery.
* Collaborate with global Kynetec teams to ensure consistency and leverage international datasets.
Skills & Experience
* Experience with primary and/or secondary research methodologies.
* Proficiency in Tableau (visualisation) and MySQL (database management).
* Strong capability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills, especially related to horticulture or retail market insights.
* Strong communication and relationship‐building skills with stakeholders and clients.
* Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines for client deliverables.
* Project planning capability to support systems development and ongoing analysis workflows.
* Highly desirable: Familiarity with agribusiness, fresh produce markets, and retail.
* Based in Kynetec's Richmond (Palmer Street) office, within an open‐plan environment.
* Access to a maintained desktop PC with standard analytical and productivity software.
