Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community. In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service and life in general.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Food Technology Assistant to commence at our Drouin campus in Term 4 this year. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment and provide important assistance to the Food Technology teachers in delivering high quality care and Christian education to our students.
Some key responsibilities include assisting in the following ways:
- Setting up the classroom for practical classes
- Supervising students during practical classes
- Managing classroom resources, including shopping for ingredients
The position requires the following qualifications and experience:
- Current and approved first aid qualifications as per regulations (or willingness to train)
- Prior experience in a similar role (desirable)
- Food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)
The successful applicant will need to be in agreement with and model Chairo’s Statement of Faith.
