What you'll do * Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces. * Successfully complete educational and practical requirements within the term of the cadetship (nominally 2-4 years, though extensions may be granted at the discretion of the Executive Director, Biomedical Technology Services (BTS). Failure to meet these objectives will result in termination of employment. * Perform general technical support activities which may include: Receipting and delivery of health technology equipment; Equipment packing and dispatch; Management of: parts, consumables, test equipment and technical manuals; Data entry and checking; Telephone answering and client service; Miscellaneous assistance as required. Upon successful completion of studies cadets will progress to the position of Biomedical Technician. About you We are searching for someone with: * The ability to gain knowledge and skills in the maintenance, installation and technical support of health technology equipment and systems, including information systems and networks * The ability to work as a team member to achieve goals and objectives. * Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. * The ability to identify opportunities for improvement and to resolve problems. * The ability to analyse and solve problems by drawing on knowledge and applying logical thought processes.
