Gippsland Local Health Service Network is looking for Safer Together Program Coordinator to join our growing team on a part time (0.8EFT) fixed term basis until 30 June 2027.
The Safer Together Program Coordinator position is to lead region-wide collaboration and drive the successful implementation of Safer Care Victoria’s Safer Together Program. As a senior member of the team, this role partners will all Gippsland acute health services, system partners, and Safer Care Victoria to deliver safety improvement initiatives that strengthen outcomes, reduce harm, and embed sustainable, person-centred care across the region.
The role is a part of the Gippsland Local Health Service Network team. The Gippsland Local Health Service Network is a Network of eight health services located in Gippsland. Administratively, the role is employed by Latrobe Regional Health.

The role of the Safer Together Program Coordinator is to:
* Lead the coordination and delivery of region-wide Safer Together improvement initiatives, including planning, project oversight, stakeholder collaboration and reporting to governance bodies.
* Act as the regional quality improvement expert, coaching and supporting health services through improvement methodologies, change management and evidence-based practice.
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Safer Care Victoria, the Department of Health, and all Gippsland acute health services to deliver consistent, system-wide improvements.
* Lead governance, reporting and oversight activities ensuring projects aligned with state wide priorities supported by benchmarking and evaluation.
* Provide leadership and line management to a small specialist team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, capability building and accountability.
About you Ideal candidates for this role will have:
* Tertiary qualification in healthcare discipline or related field with demonstrated experience.
* Demonstrated expertise in quality improvement, change management and project coordination across complex health environments.
* Highly organised, with proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and deliver sustainable outcomes.
* Exceptional communication, consultation and negotiation skills, with experience engaging senior clinical, management and executive leaders.
* Able to work autonomously across a broad geographical region with a current driver’s licence and capacity to travel.
