Job Title: Full-Time Chefs
Location: 130 High St Shepparton VIC 3630
Salary: AUD 75,000- AUD 85,000
Full Time Position; Approximately 38 hours per week.
We are currently seeking multiple skilled Chefs to join our dynamic teams at Vermont South Victoria and 130 High St, Shepparton VIC 3630. The ideal candidates will have experience in the culinary industry and possess a passion for delivering delicious and high-quality dishes. This role involves a range of responsibilities centered around food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Making and preparing food items as per the menu and Indian and Indo Chinese & Nepalese Culinary requirements.
* Planning menus, estimating food and labor costs, and ordering food supplies.
* Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure consistency with Australian Standards and quality requirements as well as Indian traditional standards.
* Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, cooks, junior kitchen staff and waiting staff.
* Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures for Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine.
* Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations within the kitchen.
* Selecting and training kitchen staff.
* Freezing and preserving foods as needed for storage and future use.
Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of one years of culinary experience.
Thorough understanding of health and safety standards in the kitchen, including food handling and sanitation practices.
Proficient in culinary techniques and adept in operating kitchen equipment and tools.
Meticulous in food preparation and presentation, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality dishes.
Capable of interpreting recipes and menu plans accurately and creatively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented kitchen environment.
Good physical stamina, capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen and standing for long hours.
