As a Senior House Officer In The Emergency Department, You Will Contribute To Delivering High-quality, Patient-centred Care While Building Your Clinical Capability In a Supportive, Fast-paced Environment By
* Assessing, examining and coordinating appropriate investigations for emergency patients
* Initiating treatment plans and discharge planning under senior medical guidance
* Communicating effectively with senior clinicians regarding patient care and condition changes
* Providing clear explanations to patients and carers about diagnoses and treatment options
* Participating in clinical education, audits and ongoing professional development
* Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and adhering to organisational standards
* Supporting safe, inclusive and respectful care for all patients and staff
* Contributing to patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities

About You You are a motivated and compassionate medical professional who thrives in a team-based, high-pressure environment and is committed to continuous improvement with:
* MBBS (or equivalent) registrable with the Medical Board of Australia
* Demonstrated clinical knowledge and sound decision-making skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and teams
* Effective time management and ability to prioritise in a busy ED setting
* Commitment to ongoing learning, feedback and professional development
* A collaborative mindset and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
* High standards of professionalism, integrity and patient-focused care

We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care. We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
